Gone Fishing

Well, not really. Fishing is kind of barbaric actually, but plans for the week do include lots of reading with a lakeview. And I’ve got great books packed. In fact, books are all I’ve got packed. So I need to get my act together, but yes. It’s going to be an excellent holiday.

With a Barbara Pym in your luggage you’ll defo have a lovely weekend!

  2. Hah. You fish like I do…hooked by a book. Enjoy your vacation.

I’ve read all of these except Gone Girl and can say you’re in for a treat! (I think my favourite Jane Gardam is Crusoe’s Daughter. In fact I think I’ll re-read it this summer…) Above All Things was really wonderful. I read it last week and wish I could somehow read those letters… Enjoy every minute!

  4. Kerry says:

The Pym is a reread, but I read Barbara Pym at the cottage every summer, and as I’m all out of new Pyms, a reread it was to be!

    Thanks all for the encouragement.
