You are allowed.

You are allowed to have unpopular opinions.

You are not obligated to share them.

You can share them if you want, but you will annoy people

and maybe this is the point.

You are allowed to annoy people.

They are allowed to find you annoying when you do.

When you begin a post with “Am I the only one who…”

most of the time you are not.

You are allowed to like unpopular things

and not like popular things

and neither fact is particularly remarkable, really,

but neither is the photograph of my sandwich

that I posted on Instagram.
