    I’m often late to the Gleanings party, but when I get here there is so much interesting conversation. Everything a good party should be. Thank you again for including me and for the lovely range of gleanings for me to discover.

    I haven’t yet read all the gleanings though I see more I wish to get to. I just read that essay by Jesmyn Ward. Her talent with words digs deep and oh how I hope many people read her story.

      Isn’t it just stunning? Perhaps one of the best things I have ever read. And such harrowing pieces are always praised for their rawness—but there is nothing raw about it. It is so polished, it SHINES.
