Franklin Stamps

There is not much we love at our house more than we love mail and books (except perhaps for bunting, tea, and train journeys) and it’s always a joy when worlds collide. Yesterday, we picked up a set of Franklin the Turtle stamps at the post office, and we’re in love with them. But they confuse us too, because Harriet thinks they’re stickers and wants to stick them all over her hands and legs, and as for me, I can’t see myself using them anytime soon because then we wouldn’t have them anymore!

More about postal goodness: the joy of postcards.

On my way to the post office!

I have to confess that these came in stock at the post office when I was sending out some late-breaking wedding invites, and it took all my willpower to resist buying them for that purpose. (I also had to explain to more than one clerk why I didn’t want the new magnificent Titanic stamps for my wedding invites, and that, yes, I kind of like putting the stamps on myself because they are just like stickers and somehow still fun.)

    1. Kerry says:

Oh my, Titanic stamps for wedding invites would be somehow very wrong. Franklin, maybe too…

I saw these and could not resist buying them for my 4-year-old son. He’s been making mail all week and trotting down to the “big red mailbox”, he’s in heaven. Glad my love of mail has been activated in him! Good job Canada Post.

Can’t have your stamp and send it too.

What a lovely surprise. Thanks so much for the link! And many happy mail days to you and Harriet…
